My dear friend Brenda ( Brenda Werner-Trapani ) is a unique artist.  She uses color and design to magnificently communicate her passion for God and His Word.  The image posted here (for me) represents well how I am feeling during this tumultuous season.  It's the middle of the winter, and I'm bundled up in a season where everything appears dormant -- stalled. Not a lot is going on in my spiritual life, but as God continues to till up the soil of my heart, I know that ButSpring is coming, and the seeds He has had planted inside of me will reap a harvest of plenty, for His glory!  Nothing is wasted in God's economy. Being equipped to do what God intended for us to do is the true process of sanctification in the Believer's heart. No person can say it better than Paul in God's  Word as to what this process looks like. "But you have carefully followed my doctrine, manner of life, purpose, faith, longsuffering, love, perseverance, persecutions, afflictions, which happened to me at Antioch, at Iconium, at Lystra—what persecutions I endured. And out of them all the Lord delivered me.   Yes, and all who desire to live godly in Christ Jesus will suffer persecution. But evil men and impostors will grow worse and worse, deceiving and being deceived. But you must continue in the things which you have learned and been assured of, knowing from whom you have learned them, and that from childhood you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus."   All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man (or woman) of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work."     2 Timothy 3:10-17 We must dig into the Word of God daily.  We must gather together with other Believers often, and encourage our brothers and sisters in the Faith!  We must pursue God's Truth as a priority in our lives.  Prayer, studying His Word and applying Biblical understanding through the power of His Holy Spirit is the key.  He Himself is our Teacher!  We must begin to wean ourselves from dependence upon men, and surrender to Our Master, Lord and soon-coming-King!  Through this sacrifice of time, we will begin to hear his voice!  Learning to walk in humility and obedience, we must confess and repent of our sins.  Don't hide anything from the Lord, instead lay down the flesh and pick up our highest calling -- the high call of Jesus Christ!  Stir up the gifts that God has given you. There is no shortcut to attaining Him.  We must put our own desires on the chopping block, and intentionally pursue spiritual disciplines in order to subdue our flesh, to become intimate with Jesus Christ. I have high hopes for this Eastern Oregon Prayer Group to be refined in the fire-- together. As we pursue Jesus, may we learn how to share, pray and watch for the Lord together.  May I encourage you to listen to all of the spiritual warfare trainings posted by B2T, which are posted on my profile? It takes time to get equipped for battle, but these tools are important for the battle.   This training will begin to shape our understanding of the battle ahead, and what it means to be His "last days" army.   We are a small group and that good during this season as we are being equipped.  Remember, Jesus is praying for you, and I am too am praying for you.  For such a time as this!     🙏🏻     🙏🏻     🙏🏻     🙏🏻     🙏🏻      🙏🏻   Grace in Bonanza, OR
